It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the website of Soroptimist International of Stuart. As president for 2008-2009 I am honored to be in a position to represent an organization which spans the continents. We are a service club dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. Our projects reach out to women both at the local level here in Stuart and around the world.

We are one of the largest clubs in our district, boasting over 50 active members. Our membership is comprised of local business and professional women focused on serving our communities. We proudly sponsor the annual Christmas Parade, Women of Distinction Awards, and award programs for women-Women's Opportunity Awards, Violet Richardson, and Making A Difference. We provide assistance to women with free mammograms with our Save Our Selves / Save Our Sisters project. STEPS (Soroptimist Training and Education Program for Scholarships) provides scholarships for students, and International Relations has supported many international projects.

This year we place our attention on women who are victims of sexual and human trafficking through our Domestic Peace Initiative. With our Shared Hope partnership and STOP Trafficking actions we plan to inform, educate and bring awareness to these issues that dramatically effect the lives of women and girls.
